Templates to Help Decorate Golf Cookies Easily

To help with the decorating process, I made a PDF template available for the new Father's Day cookie designs, including this golf cookie cutter set.

You can download these cookie templates HERE.

If you have a Kopykake or Pico projector, just print it out (or pull it up on your mobile device) and you are good to go. For those without a projector, follow the suggested steps below by tracing the design onto the cookie with an edible food marker.

The Cookie Decorating Process

To decorate these cookies, my icing of choice is royal icing. Here's how to make royal icing for cookie decorating.

For the colors used for this Easter cookie, you will need the following suggested colors:

Golf Ball Cookie

Step 1

Begin by filling in the golf ball section with white and gray icing. Quickly add the gray dot accents, then quickly add the white dots on top of them. (See the video at the end to see this in action.)

Also, fill in the bottom grass section. Add a squiggle of icing to the middle to help prevent craters. Let this icing set.

Then add the brown tee to the middle section.

Golf Bag Cookie

Step 1

Begin by filling in the white empty space with a thin layer of white icing, as shown. Let this icing set.

Then add the middle bag section with dark green icing.

Step 2

Next, add the strap of the bag and its side pocket with light green icing. Add the middle golf club, as shown.

Finish the design by adding the two remaining golf clubs.

Begin by filling in the hole area with a thin layer of black icing. Let that icing set.

Then fill in the green area around the hole.

Next, fill in the top flag area with red icing. Let that icing set.

Finish the cookie by adding the post with brown icing and the white golf ball.

Golf Cart Cookie

Step 1

Begin by filling in the empty space with a thin layer of white icing. Let that set.

Then add the body sections of the cart with light green icing.

Next, add the wheels with black and white icing. Add the brown steering rod, and gray squiggles to prevent craters.

Lastly, add the black seat, the black steering wheel, and the gray accent bars over the squiggles.
