Facebook “Like” Cookies

Along with the newly revamped web site, I opened up a fan page on Facebook.  I will no longer post anything cookie related on my personal Facebook page.  If you still would like to see what cookie projects I’m working on feel free to “like” my new page.

To promote this new Facebook page of mine, I make Facebook “like” thumbs up cookies.  Now that I think about it, I guess they can also be a “dislike” cookie if turned upside-down (don’t you wish Facebook had a “dislike button?) .  I plan on handing these babies out and placing a sticker on the back with the Facebook link.

I think this cookie is a great way to promote any page on Facebook.

Random thought, this design would be great for a Valentine’s Day cookie.  Maybe change the blue monochromatic color scheme to a monochromatic pink scheme.  Add a heart cufflink and you got yourself a Valentine to hand out.  Its a great way to say, “I ‘like’ you!” to someone you admire.  This idea is something I would like to try (if I remember) when Valentine’s Day comes around next year.

Hello! I love these cookies and would love to make them. However, I’m having difficulty finding a “like” cookie cutter online. Did you make your own (and, if so, was there a template that you used) or buy it? If you bought it, I’d love the link. Any help you could give would be much appreciated! Thanks.

Hey there, Annie. Those cookies were hand-cut. I Googled “Facebook like icon” and found an image I wanted to use. I then resized it to the size I was happy with and printed it out. I cut around the image and used that as a template for my dough. I hope that helps.
