I just finished a batch of cookies for my brother’s softball team. He plays for the Razor’s Edge in San Francisco.
I simplified their logo design for the cookies, mainly because I don’t quite have a steady hand for writing full text yet. (I’m practicing on it though, but for the time being, I kept it simple.)
See the little “R” on the cap? I made them separately on wax paper. Once the little R’s were completely dry and hardened (about a 3-hour wait time), I peeled them off carefully and “glued” them to the cap with royal icing. I made sure to make extra R’s because, sure enough, a few did break on me.
They came out more rough-looking than I’d hoped because the detailing was too tiny for my unsteady hands. I’m not sure if you can tell from the pictures but they were about 1-inch in size. Oh well, they are just cookies, right?
I think the overall batch came out pretty good. I just hope they can make the trip down to San Francisco all intact.
